Machine Embroidery at its Finest, Creating Heirlooms for Tomorrow!
|
" Baltimore Rose"The Baltimore Album Quilts originated in Baltimore, Maryland in the mid 1800’s. The quilts were mainly appliqué with each block created by a different quilter depicting a story or ideas. The appliqués and embroideries in each block were quite extensive and elaborate. “The Baltimore Rose” collection is my own rendition of the Baltimore Album quilt blocks. All the designs are regular embroidery designs using the cabbage rose as the main focal point. The stitches used to create the designs are varied and mimic hand look embroideries. Each design can be used in many different ways and not just as a quilt block. Most of the designs are for the 5x7 hoop with a few for the 4x4 hoop. All the designs are openwork in a way and the fabric upon which they are stitching will show through. I hope you will enjoy using these designs as much as I enjoyed creating them.
