“Dongle Alternative”??
Interesting little info I just received from some friends. Seems like there is a known digitizer/instructor who used to dabble in teaching Embird Sfumato, is selling these “dongle alternatives” for PE Design/Palette for a $100. What are these “dongle alternatives”? Well, simply put they are nothing but cracks, created to bypass the softwares’ system of checking for legality of the software before allowing the software to run. A big capital “No, No”. The person concerned downloaded this crack from a well known rebel newsgroup that delves into anything illegal and immoral and decided what a wonderful way to make extra cash….mind you the person selling is not needing that extra cash as he/she is quite well off. What is the lure then?
Well, ever watched the Perils of Pauline? The heroine couldn’t keep herself out of trouble, no matter what she did. Same way there are those lost souls that need excitement, danger, mystery in their lives and what do they do…they lead a second life of a total rebel. LOL…pretty far fetched theory. But can you give me something else?

I have PED and had never heard of this. Thank you for warning us. I had a friend who bought her software on ebay and it didn’t have the dongle with it. She spent a lot of money and the seller totally disappeared. She finally had to buy another from our dealer. What a shame. Ann
Sorry to hear about that Annie. Anytime when purchasing software, especially on Ebay it is a good idea to ask questions from the seller. Also use the fingers to type out the item in Google to see where else it is available and what it has etc. Google is a great tool to look up information on just about anything. Hugs, Sadia
