Polly want a cracker??

LOL, I was sent this some while back which apparently did the rounds on literally all the newsgroups.

Subject:Craft threatened

I am taking a break from my doodle pad to ask
for some help from you who also love forums, free forums.
There is a crisis happening in XXXXXXX
where we swap machine embroidery files freely.
Our very quiet nexus of the Internet has been invaded
by a lady calling from s@sadiasews.com with abuse
and threats of having people taken to the law.
I doodle in the pictures group too, it is very helpful in
getting designs to try out if you want to take the time
to download any design you ask for. I have bought designs
from this Sadia and felt cheated but not concerned, now she
turns up and start screaming about going to the poor house
because the group posts embroidery designs..not hers!
So what is her biz!!
The consensus is overwhelming, no one wants her designs!
So Sadia comes to cause trouble in our group.
I am asking crafters everywhere to place a ban on
any links to sadiasews.com or at the very least email her
s@sadiasews.com and give an opinion. It is hard
enough to get started in quilt and embroider without
scammers having a piece of our loaded Amex card ready to go!
The pictures group helps us all with getting started and then
helps by trying out stuff and telling if it is any good or no.
So please help our group to help your new starters.
Subscribe to XXXXXXX, read the FAQ posted
and then tell Sadia where to go!
 Hugs to all crafters :-)

What was that saying…Polly want a cracker?? LOL, this sure sounds like it. I think I stepped on someone’s toes here and they wanted a bit of revenge. Never mind, their tactic did NOT work as it only aided in getting my site noticed even more by those who probably did not know of it. Who is Polly? Well, he/she (I will give doubt as to the gender) is a very sad, disturbed digitizer who does not like to have anyone step into the arena that a few of these people have created. Interesting…LOL, indeed. As to the sharing of designs/patterns to test to see whether they are good or not…More on that later. As my dh says, machine embroidery is supposed to be such a quiet homely type work…where did all this other stuff come from? What say Polly…want a cracker? You got one, ROFLOL.

Hi Sadia
I am a latecomer to machine embroidery- and is an excited newcomer- I am saddened by the backbiting I detect here- I think your site is wonderful and that you are so sharing- I have enjoyed your blogs- read it backwards and now started from scratch. Interesting to see a woman”sticking” to her guns- we so often are not willing to stand up for ourselves

Ca va Marie. Welcome to the world of machine embroidery. I assure you the sad parts are few and far as it is in all things in life. One can keep an eye on them yet not let them rule the life. Thank you for your comment. HUGS, Sadia
