Revolution in Digitizing-Embird Digitizing Studio
Friends, for the past two weeks I have been playing with the beta version of the new Embird Digtizing Studio 2006. For those interested in digitizing and those who are already in the field, I have to say the new upcoming version is probably going to be a revolution in the world of machine embroidery. The software has been around for some years and is one of the most excellent editing and digitizing softwares out there in the market. The creators of the software Embird are highly educated Electrotechnique Engineers in the Slovakian Republic. What started out as a managing software in the late 1990’s has developed into a suite of machine embroidery softwares of managing embroidery files, editing embroidery files, cross stitch, photostitch and digitizing.
The revolution is brought about by a simple tool called “pen tools”. The tool can use either a regular mouse or a tablet pen/tablet PC. It utilises all the built in digitizing tools of outline, column, fill, etc but there is a definite difference. Where in digitizing one must click the mouse/tablet pen to place nodes, the pen tools eliminate the step. Now all one needs to do is to keep on drawing such as if you were using a regular pencil/pen. No clicks are required. That my friends is the start of a revolution in the world of digitizing as I know it.
Can you imagine creating your own fills etc using pen tools. Every line you draw is unique to you as if your pen wavers or you create a little doodah when creating an outline. The ease in using is fantastic and ofcourse to edit your nodes or points without exporting a stitch file is possible. Want to place special codings, it is a breeze now. I would strongly suggest to digitizers and to wanna be digitizers to at least check this software out, you will be surprised.
