Sadia’s Blog

Some while back I started Sadia’s Designs Forum which is a great way for me to interact with friends, teach lessons and also inspire and share designs. One of the boards relates to friends and myself showcasing our works. As the forum is by membership only I asked if these project images can be shared here to inspire more machine embroidery friends. One of the members created this elegant pillow case using the free September designs. I’m really impressed with her merging designs to create a large embroidery, Well Done!

Another great idea done by the same member was to create this Denim bag  using another one of the free September designs. Absolutely wonderful, don’t you think.

And then Yours truly took a ready made denim vest to embellish with Dalco’s Sadia’s Rose fan design. I embellished the vest further by tacking down the eyelash yarns all around to give a sort of a festive look. It is very easy to tack down the eyelash yarns, just need a bit of patience to hold everything together at the same time that you are zigzagging them down. I used a monofilament thread to tack them down. It was a bit of luck my finding the yarn that matched the colors of the design.
