Look, listen, learn and move on

Time certainly has a way of showing who your true friends are. Friends that I thought were sincere actually were opportunists or perhaps I’m looking at it the wrong way. Perhaps people prefer changing tastes now and then and the flavour of the day/week/month can change therefore giving the illusion that someone is insincere. LOL, no I’ve not gone bonkers but just thinking out loud. We all go through some phases in our lives where we come to a shocking time frame especially when it involves those near and dear to us. What better way to remind myself by writing it in my blog page to kick myself next time I’m run down by “friends”. Notice the plural please (you know whom you are).

So, what does one do when the “wind” carries a message that you are no longer the “spice” of life for some. Well….you simply “move on”. Easy said…right.  Shocked at some amazing gossip by a dear friend some while back was my first indication that perhaps something was afoot. It simply made no sense why at the moment but the “aha” moment came gradually…ofcourse a bit too late and I was caught in it like an avalanche and had no other option but to simply move away and distance myself and hope that time will heal all.  We are all in a sort of crossing the road type of situation. Always look both sides, listen and then cross. Well, why do we forget that when we create friendships.

Hopefully, this will keep as a reminder to me and to others who may find themselves in similar situations that it is best to move on with life and enjoy it every moment of the day. Stay positive and positivity will result. So much for my philosophical rantings. I’m over it and off I go to conquer tomorrow.

Sadia -

You are such a dear person on Martha’s SewForum.

I am saddened that you had to go through this kind of thing in your life. Also, I am grateful that you were a strong woman, and we now reap the benefits of “knowing” you and having you in our lives.

May you have only the best down life’s future trail.

Hi Sadia - I have learned so much from you. I first met you at Ruthies last year and then again in Pleasant Grove later last year. How I love all the designs that I purchased from you. My greatest lesson from you was in pinning instead of hooping. I have not hooped another item since then except a few batiste items. My, my what I time and frustation saver. Also I had been taught to always buy the very best thread(usually most expensive) and expensive needles and to change them after each garment. Now I can save more money for more designs.

I know from experience that there is a lot of gossip and hurt feelings in the sewing business. Don’t know why there is so much jealousy among us grown ladies. Just keep up the good work. I love, love, love your designs.

Dear Sweet Judy,
Thank you so much for your kind note, I truly appreciate it. We all go through this sort of stuff at one time or another. Writing it here I hope to make friends who also face the same understand and be strong and move on. Life is for enjoying and not to spend on some negativity. I’m glad to belong to Miss Martha’s forum and enjoy the friendship of everyone there. HUGS, Sadia

Dear Juanita, that is the greatest compliment that anyone could have given me, thank you so much. I’m so glad that I was able to impart something different that is not only easy but very affordable. Sometimes best is great but then what is best? LOL….every company says their product is the best so who can say…
I wanted to let you know that I wrote to Mary Alice Smith several times thanking her for the lovely book she sent me through you at Pleasant Grove. I don’t know if my emails are not reaching her as I have not heard back. Please do convey my thanks if you see her and do let her know that I find the book extremely helpful and am perusing it quite often for some interesting techniques. I’m truly grateful for her wonderful gift.
LOL, Juanita, my mother always said…place two women in a room and you will have some sparks now and then…place three women and the sparks happen more often….place a dozen women…now watch out for the fireworks. That is truly life and if we can just see it in a positive manner and learn and not repeat some mistakes…(we all make them) then perhaps we can all get along. Thank you again so much. Hugs, Sadia

Augie, not sure how to respond to your inquiry. You have designs that were shared with you that you want to further share…am I correct. If so, my friend, I do not think it is a good idea. Someone shared designs with you taking the money from the original designer thus it was in a way “stealing”. I do not know if you want to also carry on that same thievery by promoting it. In my opinion, pitch them or contact the designer and get it off your computer. If you want more help, email me privately at sadia@sadiasews.com and perhaps I can help. Hugs, Sadia
