Roses have a long and colorful history. Throughout the ages, they have been known to be symbols of love, beauty, war and politics. They have been known to be used for not just decoration and fragrance but also for medicinal purposes. The White and Red Rose represented two ruling houses in England wherefrom came the “War of the Roses”.

Lace Adventures is a series of freestanding flowers. The Rose is a collection of nine different petals, each yielding different types of Roses. The method of creating the rose is similar to creating silk flowers. Each of the petals are attached using either a hot glue gun or via fast drying (clear) glue. The more petals used in a rose, the larger the rose becomes. The designs can be purchased individually or as a collection. Do try out the samples. These can really become addictive. I hope you will enjoy using these designs as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Use different colors in the leaves to create different effects. Small flat petals used to create these miniature roses. The same yellow was used to stitch out the veins in the leaves.
