Kashmir

Kashmir is known as the “Paradise on earth” and the embroideries of the region are coveted by all. The colorful floral motifs intertwined with long running stitches on shawls and home décor items are a signature of the embroideries found in the region. The embroidery itself is created using a single long stitch, comparable to satin stitches. “Kashmir” is a collection of floral designs, depicted in my own interpretation of the most beautiful and coveted embroideries in the world. The collection is presented in two variations: colorful and mono-tone. Embroidered using either of the variations creates beautiful borders, quilt blocks, or single motifs that can adorn not only the wearable items but also home décor items. There are fourteen designs in the collection, presented in both the colorful and the mono-tone variations. |
